New Necklace Designs by Tina Rothwell
This little treasures reminds me of sweet walks by the sea. Is it the color of the light blue jade in the foreground or perhaps the bright blue crystal in the background. I love how the white turquoise contrasts and compliments the brown potato pearls. This amazing design is handmade with sterling silver wire and is also juxtaposed with clear crystals, silver metal beads and a fantastic vintage mini pearl cluster. approx. 46" Check out Tinas website to see her recent works!

Where you can find my jewelry! Daylily in Grand Rapids, MI
So It pays to wear your work or have a business card handy. As a friend and I were shopping we started talking to the owner of a wonderful gift store in our area, and we ended up on talking about my jewelry. Before I knew it, I had an appointment to bring in samples and I found myself in another gift store. Yay!!! I believe the appeal to upcycled jewelry is the uniqueness and idea of reusing elements. I incorporate new gemstones and vintage elements, and make each piece by hand. I love the gift stores that enjoy giving business the their local artitsts! So if your out and about the Grand Rapids area, stop by Daylily, you will be glad you did.

Trunk Show - Awesome Vintage Inspired Jewelry!
Last Thursday March 18th was my first official Trunk Show in Grand Rapids, Mi, and it was a huge success. I feel that when you work really hard and love what you do, it pays off. We had a great turn out and considering this market, the customers that attended, did purchase. I love the true validation when they want to stay and browse the work and continue to say it's unlike what they have now. It's unique, fresh and original. I try really hard to stay true to myself and make my work my own style. Yes, you can be inspired by others but it is always better to make the work your own. This is not always easy, but certainly the route I take whenever I create!
The piece on the left is adorned with 3 vintage hexagon glass Japanese beads, two very large natural agate nugget gemstones on aged copper chain. The piece on the right is adorned with various colors of natural green turquoise nugget gemstones, vintage tassel, topaz nugget and a very pretty baroque pearl on aged brass. making jewelry
The chickelalas are hard at work making jewelry for an upcoming show in November. This piece is amazing with all the different stones and freshwater pearls on this substantial antique brass chain. Pictured you are seeing a 36" necklace and bracelet, absolutely gorgeous and definitely not for whimps! Lately the chickies have been buying jewelry pieces anywhere they can. We search high and low for the best natural gemstones and the prettiest. We are also looking for unique and interesting vintage treasures to add to our collections. The annual show will consist of jewelry new and vintage, glass, pottery and much much more. We will be posting more pics as the show nears, so stay tuned.
