The New Pearl Earrings!

Pearl jewel box earrings

For my Friday Finds I spotted these little numbers from J.Crew and WinifredGrace. Don't they look chic? I think that the new pearl earrings of today are easily worn from day to evening. They can be over the top or understated. This pair has alittle bauble and alittle bling. I love the simplicity and sophistication. They can be worn with just about anything. I can see them with a crisp clean white blouse/shirt and a freshly pressed pair of jeans. How about an evening gown, oh for sure. I love them Muchly!

Ok how about adding this aaamazing bracelet to your outfit and don't forget earrings above. The reason they work together is they have that common thread of the rhinestones, which make them compliment eachother. This piece not only has a rocker vibe but also has that bit of chic bling thing going on. I would wear them together for a more casual look. This swaaeet bracelet is from WinifredGrace and you can check out more of her amazing work. Be sure to check out TinaRothwell she rocks as well, with her mixed media, vintage inspired and natural gemstone jewelry! Oh did I mention it is Friday and I am off to a funfilled day with baby Oliver,  love to spend time with the family. You do the same and have a funtastic weekend! I know I will.

Full Bloom Bracelet

I named this piece Full Bloom, hummm I wonder why? I seem to have this recurring theme in my work. I love flowers and anyone who knows me knows I love my garden and spend much time out there as often as I can, even if it's to have coffee or a glass of wine. I think we all love flowers don't we? In this piece I included a resin, cloisonne, metal, and vintage flowers. I also included crystals, coral and glass. This piece is perfect for summer and won't last long. Love It !!!

Loving the color of silver

I am loving the color of silver next to blues, greys and whites in this vintage bracelet. I found this at a garage sale and was so excited to bring it home. I used crystal clear glass beads, silver and black faceted glass beads, agate beads, metal beads, shells, and pearls. Measuring approx. 7 1/2" with a really nice clasp this bracelet has another 25 years left at least. I will save this piece for the next show or for the boutiques, not sure yet.

Trunk Show - Awesome Vintage Inspired Jewelry!

Last Thursday March 18th was my first official Trunk Show in Grand Rapids, Mi, and it was a huge success. I feel that when you work really hard and love what you do, it pays off. We had a great turn out and considering this market, the customers that attended, did purchase. I love the true validation when they want to stay and browse the work and continue to say it's unlike what they have now. It's unique, fresh and original. I try really hard to stay true to myself and make my work my own style. Yes, you can be inspired by others but it is always better to make the work your own. This is not always easy, but certainly the route I take whenever I create!
The piece on the left is adorned with 3 vintage hexagon glass Japanese beads, two very large natural agate nugget gemstones on aged copper chain. The piece on the right is adorned with various colors of natural green turquoise nugget gemstones, vintage tassel, topaz nugget and a very pretty baroque pearl on aged brass. Check out new recent works at crazy crystals and pearls. com

Vintage Jewelry Inspiration

This is my latest little dittie and I am loving this little number. This piece fits any size and I used silver, blue and crystals as my palette. I think it will go with just about everything. I sent quite a few pieces to a local store this week and she took everything she saw, I feel blessed. Hard work does pay off!!! I cleaned the studio yesterday and I am starting to feel organized. I have to get back to painting as well. I miss mixing the paint. Let's see what comes out of the studio. hummmm

launching the new jewelry site

So here is another sample of the vintage inspired jewelry on my new web site. I think your going to absolutely love it. The jewelry feels alittle bit vintage but with a new contemporary twist. Check it out you won't be disappointed. http://www.crazycrystalsandpearls.com This particular piece was made with a vintage brooch and freshwater pearls and as always with swarovski crystals on aged brass. I purchased this brooch when I was in Phoenix visiting my daughter. I wonder who the lucky person will be that ends up with this oh so lovely jewelry. Part of the fun in making my jewelry is the fact that the majority of it is repurposed or recycled. Trying hard to be green. Every little effort makes a difference. Right?

Recent Works - Necklace

So here is the latest piece, just loving it. It gives me hope that perhaps I will stick to my new plans for the new year. Hence the three words on the charm. This piece measures approx. 22" and has beautiful natural turquoise and swarovski crystals along with a freshwater pearls. I am into the asymetrical design these days. I am having a trunk show in February, so I continue to work very hard. As always if your interested in any of my jewelry, shoot me an email.
